NetWatch enables video data
from any number of camera sources to be stored, distributed by IP networks to
any other NetWatch server and displayed on any NetWatch Surveillance Control
Station. The system enables users to manage video data from a large number of sources rapidly, interactively and in real time. |

Operators have full communication and control over cameras and multiple operators can have access to all or part of the system. Video data can be presented on video walls via video servers connected to the network.
The only limit to system reach and capability is the reach and capacity of the network. NetWatch utilises minimal network bandwidth, only requiring bandwidth during viewing or downloading stored images. The distributed nature of the system enables video from many sites to be viewed and reviewed simultaneously.

NetWatch and MIST On traditional video surveillance systems operators have a hard time assessing the vast array of data presented by video screens. So much information requires constant vigilance to detect transgressions, yet the very act of concentrating on video screens can produce lethargy and boredom in a relatively short time.
NetWatch provides an option for using Moving Image Separation Technology (MIST) to provide a means of giving reliable alert information to security operatives when a pre-defined set of video events are detected. The events are initially monitored over normal security cameras or thermal image cameras. The video images from these cameras are then processed by the Moving Image Separation Technology and bring the operators attention to the images in question when pre-defined moving image rules are met.
The system provides a dual benefit to users. By providing a 100% time monitoring of chosen locations, it reduces the chance that operators may miss a security breach, as they usually have more than one image to monitor, and attention has to be shared. Therefore, the system is more reliable. Secondly, by reducing the fatigue caused by concentration on what is usually a monotonous task, operators can take on a wider scope of surveillance.
MIST is a new and sophisticated object detection and tracking system that is capable of providing an early indication of intrusion from objects (including people) entering or moving through restricted areas or routes.
