Did something move? MIST-RD Rapid Deployment - Long Range Surveillance The picture shows
a soldier in combat dress, moving under cover down a wooded hillside. The
MIST-RD system has detected him, shown his position, the route he has taken,
the 'Virtual Tripwire' he is about to cross and the point at which he will
cross the tripwire if he maintains his present course. |

MIST-RD is able
to detect events in video signals that may otherwise go un-noticed, are not discernable
to the human eye and are not appropriate for long-term human concentration.
The system can plot the course of potential intruders, show their position
and raise an alarm when an intruder crosses a virtual trip wire drawn into
the video scene. Video monitor screens show area maps with target latitude,
longitude, range and bearing. MIST-RD can be
deployed covertly with minimum effort. The system is battery powered, housed
in a small, rugged, weatherproof case
and includes an optional extendable tower and a choice of cameras and
PTZ units. It has optional interfaces for bi-directional audio communication,
external sensor inputs, and external volt free outputs. The system is
designed specifically to address the issues surrounding long-range covert
surveillance. It is easily transported, requires no mains power or wired
communications and can be deployed by a single person. |

MIST-RD is intended for
networking, either wirelessly or by direct connection; any number of MIST-RD surveillance
servers can be networked to provide wide area coverage. Remote MIST-RD servers can be configured
wirelessly using a fully portable and field deployable ruggedised Tablet PC.
The same Tablet PC can be used for all monitoring and control functions.
Options are available for 3G and satellite communication. |

Used in conjunction with
the NetWatch CCTV product range, MIST can activate normal vision (fixed or PTZ)
cameras to home in on and record the VTW activation. The MIST unit will
record pre and post alarm video. MIST can handle multiple targets, showing tracks of past positions and predicted future routes based on general heading. Path prediction maintains object tracking when an object is momentarily obscured. |
